Traction Control

Recently I have had the Tyre pressure indicator light come on the dash, along with handbrake light, this is amber coloured. These are both on the central area. Also the Traction control light which is a triangle with an exclamation mark inside and an circle with a arrow head shown. This appears in the rev counter.
1. Can anyone please confirm that this combination of symbols does indicate a traction control module fault.
2. What is the method of checking/tracing the fault. Diagnostic tool etc.
3. Where is the module located.
4. Keeping the cost to a minimum is there a recommended tool advised.

My car is still mobile.

I will be grateful for any suggestion or advice put forward.

regards,

Hi,

You need to get the codes read . Maybe someone near you has a diagnostic tool ? It could just be a wheel speed sensor or worst case senario a ABS/DSC pump failure which is what I have at the moment and will be sending it off to here https://www.ecutesting.com/ .

You can read about it here https://www.ecutesting.com/common-faults/bmw/bmw-abs-dsc-pump-common-5df0-5df1-fault/ or search trifecta of lights on this forum .

Hope this helps .

This was sorted for me by "Street". The man is a genius and a gentleman.
Ha! I hadn't noticed this post before and was just about to suggest you spoke to Chris.
What was it?
Was yours the one he recalibrated the Steering Angle Sensor on?

I had just had the wheel alignment adjusted, after fitting new tyres. Maybe that had something to do with it.
