TPMS,ABS, BRAKE and one more

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum. I've seen so much information on troubleshooting common problems. Now, I'd like to seek help solving the following problem: My BMW Z4 is a 2005, 3.0i Roadster version. I bought it two weeks ago and it has 163,000 miles. I noticed four lights have come on (TPMS, ABS, Brake, and a small triangle with an arrow surrounding it). This was intermittent, they would turn on and off, but now they stay solid in the cluster. The ABS sometimes goes off. I've scanned the car and I have some codes: 5E40 PRESENT
Steering Angle Sensor Signal Not Plausible, offset.

611B NOTPRESENT
Error Code 15: Steering Angle
6127 NOTPRESENT
Error Code 27: Steering Angle Test Condition Not Fulfilled
6128 NOTPRESENT
Error Code 28: Vehicle Speed Test Condition Not Fulfilled
611E NOTPRESENT
Error Code 18: Vehicle Speed
612A NOTPRESENT
Error Code 30: Mileage. I've heard it could be the Steering Angle sensor located on the steering column. Others say it's the yaw sensor located under the passenger seat. I should mention that the car was parked in the field, so the mice did their thing; they ate the radio wires, and I don't know about any other wires. Where should I start?

Welcome to the forum. Shame it’s not under better circumstance

Good job getting your codes read in advance

If I were you I’d be finding someone close to you who can use bmw software to recalibrate your steering angle sensor and replace the yaw sensor.

Being a prefacelift car yaw sensors are relatively cheap… but firstly I would check the condition of yours for either rodent damage to the wires or for damp/water ingress

Where are you based

I live in California, the steering wheel feels good although it seems to be leaning a little to the right but a few days ago I changed the shock absorbers, I know something mechanical and I have informed myself about how to calibrate the steering wheel sensor but I need to investigate more, I would not like to throw away my money, although to be honest I paid very little for the car at barely 2500 dollars (I paid this because of a dent it has in the passenger side fender and the bumper), and it is in perfect condition, no engine light, and the engine feels very good, but I have this problem.

Ah

If you have been doing stuff at that end with suspension etc you may need the alignment doing as well as the steering angle sensor reset

There are lots of how to guides on here which will help and we will gladly chip in

I need rear tires, so as soon as I buy them I will do the wheel alignment, if you have any color libk to reset the steering wheel angle sensor I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

I've tested my battery, it looks fine cosmetically, but the test requires replacing it due to a sulfation/degraded defect. Do you think this could cause these lights on my dashboard? I also have this code: 5DF7 NOTPRESENT
Wiring Supply Voltage > 18 Volt, which tells me the battery has some defect, but I don't know if this affects my problem in any way.

When the battery in my current Z4 was too discharged to start it I got it going with a jumper pack and got the 3 lights you mention in your header illuminate.

They didn't go out after I fitted a new battery so I took it to my BMW Indy and he reset the steering angle sensor, cleared the codes and the lights stayed off.

BMWs seem to throw all sorts of random warning lights when the battery is dying.
