2015 Tour starts off tomorrow , not generally a big sport fan but i do enjoy this 3 week circus for the scenery , the teamwork & the sheer physical capacities of those who take part ( cue the usual bleating about chemical enhancements  )
So anyone else tuning in ?

If I get chance I will.

ITV4 at 7pm will be my viewpoint , have watched a few stages in past years when i was in France , great days out for those in the area
Here's a decent intro for those interested http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/cycling/tour-de-france-2015-when-and-where-does-the-race-start-and-how-can-i-watch-it-10363111.html

I cycled the second stage from Utrecht to Zelande last weekend as part of a charity ride it will be a very windy section if its anything like last weekend.

I'm in the French Alps for the last 2 days of the tour this year. Go over most years for my own mini tour in the Z. Leaving Hull on 20th and taking in Austria and the Stelvio before arriving in Albertville on 23rd. Will be on Alp d'Huez on 25th July for the last stage- the Valencia Orange should go down well on Dutch Corner! Coming home over the following few days via South West France and West Coast as family have a place near La Rochelle. Can't wait. Mankini already packed!

Sounds right up my route ! La Rochelle is a gem . Been many times & always enjoy a nosy in the Rolex shop
Be sure to post some pics of your travels

I'll be glued to this for 3 weeks. Loved it when I lived in France, coverage started at 10am & went on until at least 6pm - magnifique (they have better commentators too, I really miss not being able to hear Jackie Durand's comments).

Yeah, avidly. I bought my Zed practically in the middle of the Tour of Yorkshire earlier this year.

The house is closer to Rochfort but La Rochelle is a lovely place and we've spent a lot of summers there when the kids were growing up. Spent many happy days on the beaches at ile d'oleron. I'm more fond of the ice cream shop near the harbour as a bit cheaper than the Rolex shop! I will post a few pics on my return as after the Alps I'm aiming for Perpignan and over to Tarbes via the Pyrenees which is a route I've not done before. I've also got myself a GoPro this year as I'm keen to capture some of the excitement of the 35is so I can replay it in my old age!! Mid life crisis or what!!!

Oh ye. The one sport I actually make time to watch is cycling. Been reading the massive tour guide in Cycle Sport Magazine, for a week already. Can't wait. :D

Might even get my bike out.

Yep I will. Love the fancy dressers chasing the riders on the climbs

Day 2 in the Pyrenees today , its long been on my list of "to do's" & seeing the camera bikes & cars today have only made my desire stronger , looks like epic scenery & roads :driving:
As for the descents today  the cars & motorcycles struggled to stay with the lead rider , scary stuff

Had the afternoon off today so watched the live feed on ITV4. Really good coverage again this year. Tomorrow's route looks like a killer. If anyone is going to challenge Froome, then they have little choice but to go for it tomorrow. Having said that , after teams sky's performance the last two days, it's hard to see what they could try. :D

Currently trying to catch up on a weeks worth , having been away from TV and for that matter Internet for a week :o

Love the Tour, have watched it for many years and followed it for a couple of days many years ago

Very sad to see what is happening now in terms of drugs allegations, especially as it appears to be partly due to comments made by former riders

Froome may be a little dull but he looks good to win this again & by all accounts intends to produce all his medical history, facts & figures for scrutiny .
There will always be those on the edge but team SKY do seem to have introduced a level of dedication, professionalism & fitness the othes will have to follow

Good to see a Brit & ex Sky domestique win today. That was my favourite finish for quite some time. Had me shouting at the Tele. :D

Nice one Steve Cummings.
