Hi all

Help me with this one if you can

The E10 Torx bolts (pictured) holding the oil cooler onto an n52 engine have spheres on the end which hold the cover in place

Meaning you can’t get an E10 onto the splines…?

I think you can get a 10mm standard socket on but I’m wary of rounding the Torx off

Anyone got any suggestions of better more suitable tools to use?

You can get deep E10 sockets.

the ball is much smaller than the head of the bolt so it'll go over.

The ball seems to be the same diameter as the bottom of the groove on the bolt.

:-) Yep E 12 might be the answer.
