Hi

I have just watched this and noticed the toffs at Good-wood see them as replicas ! but Jaguar does not see it that way

That was just eliteism personified & if i had the cash to buy one i wouldn't go near the old scrote who practically sneered when asked if they would accept the new models on his tarmac , its gentrified tw4ts like that make me glad i'm a working northern lad

well spoken .. could not agree more, bunch of wankers .. typical "who ray Henrys"

I agree you'd be better off without those inbred half wits who won't let you play in their gang - they just don't like new money that's the real issue . I'd rather have the new one than a restored old one . Have to say it was truly gorgeous and sounded epic . I would be suprised if it would pass sound levels at Goodwood .

I heard that too. How can they be replica's if Jaguar are building them. Can't stand that kind of snobbery :x

I best most of the 'original' cars at Goodwood have had some major repairs over the years, particularly bodywork, and are probably nearer to being 'replicas' that the new ones !

Not sure I see it that way. just because you build 5 or 6 E types using the chassis numbers out of the 1960's ledger doesn't mean they are 1960's car and that's the difference.
They are simply stunning cars and label them as original, replicas, or whatever, but they are still brand new. I do however agree that some 'original cars are just the engine, gearbox and a bit of axle with the rest rebuilt as a result of crashes, loss over time, etc.
