Tomorrow is the day... Hopefully!

Keith. Looks great

Just noticed that you dont appear to have a lid on the ash tray? what's all that about then?

I got the smokers pack deleted from my car, I didnt want anything smokers related in the car.

Apologies to all smokers but I just think its a dirty habit that shouldnt be done in a luxury sports car.

I agree and as an ex smoker (6 years now) I still agree...I did request the smoker pack deletion and my dealer told me not to, he said, and I have noticed in your photos, the center console is left with a hole in it. He advised to leave it and either remove the ashtray or just leave it in but either way you retain a smooth continued finish on the surface of the console due to the dampered lid of the ashtray...I have gone for wood so I am glad I took his advice.

Didnt realise you could delete it to be honest.. I'm not a smoker so will never use it although its handy to have the cigarette lighter there to charge things such as phones or nav. Not sure if it looks better with the smokers pack though as its just another recessed hole thing to gather dust much like the one where the I drive should go.

I might look at sourcing an I drive controller just to plug that hole

Hi Keith,

When you say you had the smokers package deleted what do you mean by this? Mine has been ordered with the smokers package as in the configurator its already ticked by default unless you untick it. Didnt really think much of it to be honest. So are you saying if its ticked or selected you don't get the tray lid and if you untick it you get the smokers package with the tray lid? I hope thats not the case as would prefer the lid :o :?

Cheers,

Tim.

No, the smokers pack is standard, which is why its ticked. It gives you the ashtray, 12v socket and the cover.

If you untick the box, that is deletion, so you get the empty tray instead.

So if you left the box ticked, you get the lid and 12v socket etc.

Thanks Kevin, I thought for a moment I had gone and deleted it

I don't smoke but the lighter is too useful too delete and much prefer the lidded tray :)

Need to do an Zed meet with the newbies in Scotland!

On a side note I had some random commenting on my plate on the dealers Facebook page since his name was also Keith. Saying he wish he had got it! Turns out the boy was the Managing Director of Eastern Western! Haha!

The car does have other 12V outlets. There is one in the center console. There is also might be one in the passenger footwell below the glove box. I haven't verified that our car has the passenger side one. FWIW the USB port will charge an iPhone but not an iPad. -- Guess 10W is too much for it.

We don't smoke and would never let someone smoke in our car. I didn't give much thought to deleting the smokers package. It is easy enough to fit the oddments tray. Not sure which is more useful. Have to spend more time with the car first.
