I know, total bollocks, but we've not had rain of any significance here for at least 2 weeks... Due a day and a half of rain if we're lucky, then warm again. I've never been so concerned about it when it has happened - if the grass and the flowers in the garden die then they die... But my car. Dirty. For weeks or even months

If it's waxed, it'll look good anyway

Waxed and wet.... Mmmmm

Bit rubbish as tight squeeze on drive :)

This site is starting to sost me a fortune!

Not really been into detailing though I've always kept my car clean.

After reading the forum I've jut bought half of cleanyourcar.co.uk's stock!

For my silver Z coupe I've gone for Meguiars smooth surface clay kit, Poorboys White Diamond, Collinite 476s Wax and for the wheels - Bilberry Wheel Cleaner & Poorboys Wheel Sealer.

Also got the sheepskin mitt and various applicators and microfibers. I'll also be sticking with the autoglym shampoo and polish which I already have.

Having read all the useful info on the site, I appreciate that it's all about the preparation but any advice would be much appreciated. I'm off next week and no hose pipe ban oop north so hoping the weather lets me get on with it.

Hopefully get some pics posted.

I use the Meg's clay, SRP and Collinite 476s you won't be disappointed!

The only thing I struggle with is finding time to use them ;)
