Today I am mostly driving....

Lifer
......an X3, which is my loan car while the zed is getting it's parking sensors fitted *insert nail biting smilie*

(Edited as I put X5 originally :headbang: )

you'll have to find some curbs to mount to make it go offroad :poke:

LOL, the closest most X5's get to "off-road" is the kids jumping in the back with muddy shoes!

We've got a freelander so I'm used to being high up!
Lovely car tho, enjoying driving it.

How true!

My quoting went all wrong there!

As I have both I can say they are rather different. But as my X5 performance is not that much different from my M it does feel odd at times.

Which engine did you get?

2ltr diesel. It goes really well. I like it

There is no such thing as a 2.0 diesel. You sure it is an X5 and not an X3? :poke:

Could have been worse ... could have been "I got one of those big blue cars "

Driving my wife's Honda feels like driving a van if I get right in it after the Z. Quite fancy a 4x4 wannabe though, great for getting loads of stuff in

Hope the Z comes back all lovely Carol

As it's a loaner, I'm guessing you can't tell me what the X3 is like in the snow then! I'm thinking of buying one to replace my better half's car, but it's got to be a 4x4 for when the Welsh snow comes... anyone had one?

Apologies for hijacking the thread....

I would not buy a 4x4....

Why not? The only thing that works in the last 3 winters in the UK. Funny how "we" are called upon to deliver stuff to the elderly and get other cars out of the snow.

Check xdrivers.co.uk

It is all in the tyres by the way, without the proper winter tyres it still won't do you that much good.

I've got a Freelander as well as the zed and I love them. I had a Freelander 2 before the zed but parted it for the zed and then bought a Freelander 1 (I'd already had a 1 a few years ago) They've never put a foot wrong in the bad weather.
