To spray or not to spray

Bought a hardtop a couple of months ago it is in silver grey A08 when my car is sterling grey 472 but i loved the look of it on the car so i had it anyway  i've been quoted £420 to spray it by BMW not sure to get it done or not some people say not to bother but i'm on the side of doing it just that if i ever decide to sell it i'm well out :?
mmmm
Any trusted sprayers near me don't want a dodgy job like on my first wheel refurb

BMW are taking the glass out etc so proper job will post a pic later its not my car but another with the same problem .
For people who know its an added hard top i suppose you can get away with it but those who don't they would think its miss matched paint

Id have it done personally, would have thought you could get a decent spray job done on it for less than BMW are quoting.'

You'll need to post some pictures to let the learned folk on the forum to make an educated decision, I have a Titanium Silver one that will need spraying before the winter and have got quotes from £150(Mates rates) to £400 from a local highly recommended local body shop.

I would say depending on what you paid for it in the first place get it sprayed, then when you are ready to sell it make sure you sell it at the right time of year to maximise the price you could get for it.

If it's a dealer they will just get a local spray shop to do it and then put a mark up on spray shops price

I wouldn't pay that to get it resprayed, it's about £200 too much.

I'd keep a look out for a grey one, they aren't that uncommon, but a decent spray job shouldn't be ruled out.
I had a real struggle finding a sensibly priced black hardtop so in the end went with a respray (of a grey one...) but if I sell at the right time I still shouldn't be out of pocket.

Like someone else said what does it look like on the car.

The mismatched paints might not look bad
kinda like a black top on a silver car.

If not I would sell it and buy one in the right color resprays never work out especially on something that is going to be put on and off a couple times.

Pic of a car not mine but same thing though

Flog it and get the correct coloured one.

Failing that spray it as it looks a bit afterthought like imo (I.E. look everyone, this is what I got on eBay!).
