To sell or not to sell !!!!!!

Hi have recently acquired from a family friend who has retired from driving, a very clean 2003 2.5 auto Roadster in met grey, 1 owner from new genuine 26500 miles + Hardtop, elec roof, Xenons, climate, sat nav, leather memory heated seats, 6 CD, phone prep, park distance control.
Anyway I have driven it a few times and quite like it, question is do I sell it if so what value does it have or just keep it??

I guess that depends on if you want it?
Value.... i'm guessing around £5k. Its often better to sell the hardtop on its own if the most money is what you're after. If its worth more to you than that keep it...if not sell it.
 
Sounds like a lovely z4 which i has a good spec.Knowing the history of the car at that age is worth a lot.
If you can afford to keep it ,theirs years of cheap enjoyable motoring left in the car.
Selling with the hard top I would be looking for 6k min.
 
Keep it for at least a year and have some fun. When you come to sell I'm sure they'll be people on here that'll be interested in acquiring it :wink:

Good decision OP - it sounds like a great example!

I can't see it's value dropping much in a year (and September probably wouldn't be the best time to be selling a roadster anyway)!

So just enjoy the car for a while and ask questions. :lol:
 
I would have felt really guilty selling a car so soon that was given to me.
Especially as it sounds like a looked after low miles 1 owner car.
Did the previous owner say for you to do what you wanted with it, keep it or sell it?

I'm not sure the OP said he was "given" the car only that he had acquired it.

No I paid for it, not a lot but I did pay for, all above board wealthy family friend😀

I just took it that it was given, amazing how you can jump to the wrong conclusion.
