To change the oil or not that is the question

I did mine last week ready for the spring and summer, its only done about 3k since its last change 12mths ago. It will get an oil&filter change every year even though its a low miles weekend toy. For what it costs its a no brainer.

I do 3-4k miles a year, and change oil and filter every year.

Along with cabin filter and air filter

Since owning the car i haven't had the service light come on and its had 4 services lol think im still 6k away still

I do mine every 2 years as per service schedule. Only doing 2-3k per year.

Just had my oil analysed after 2 years and 6k which showed no issues.

Agree with above comments.I do approx 3k per year and service it as per service schedule.I use a good quality oil Castrol Edge .The car uses no oil and I am happy keeping to the Bmw schedule.

Personally, no question about it, annually regardless of mileage. What are we talking about....£40 in parts? No brainer for me!

What sort of oil and filter do you use?

Mann, Wix or if you're flush BMW (which I think are Mann).
Oil? Millers or Morris' seeing as they're what we stock.

I only put about 5 to 6,000 miles on per year and do an oil change every spring. I considered every other year but with the extremes of weather where I live I am playing it safe.

I change the oil in my Z every year without fail

I average between 5000 and 10,000 miles a year

PS I stock up on oil when Europarts have a sale on. Works out much cheaper.
