Hi

I was looking at getting some csl wheels as my tires have had it plus a minor kerbing incident in the snow I can pursuade myself to get some :). I saw a guy on ebay selling sets with tires on but wasnt sure if the tire sizes are right.

Any suggestions? I saw simpson motorsport sell wheels and I can get tired seperately no problem

thanks pete

There are plenty of variations in size that will work on the CSL's. I've ran 245/35/19 front and 255/35/19 on the rear for 18 months and have been really pleased with them. They offer plenty of grip and make the car feel a lot more stable and settled than the standard 18's. The standard CSL sizes of 235/35 front and 265/30 rear work well too I believe. I'm going to go 275/30 on the rear next which I know of several people using with good results when combined with either 245/35 or 235/35 at the front.

The guy on ebay, lawsy, will change the tyre sizes if you contact him through ebay. Simpsons are good to deal with, that's where I got mine, and Cooks Ferry are another reputable company who sell CSL's on ebay or direct on their website. There probably not a lot in it price wise between any of them when you add the tyre prices into the equation.

Only buy genuine CSL's if you can afford to.

I would also stick to the recommended tyre sizes of: 235/35/19 front 265/30/19 rear.

They run them on the CSL that way for a reason...

going rate currently for all new stuff seems to be 2300 ouch! wish id bought them a few months ago when the euro was lower now.

There is a set for sale on the CSL forum for £1600 with new tyres :)

Keep an eye out on there because most of those boys run 2 sets.

Thanks,

Jack
