Tinting rearlamps

Although I generally prefer the non-tinted (brake light) look, I don't find it offensive one bit... and, in fact, rather striking on some colors.

Compared to the roadster, the coupe has a ginormously-wide third brake light; and I have often thought about tinting JUST this light. Here is a quick and questionable P-chop... what do you think of the look?

rollingstone, damn look nice! Tinting the whole thing would look great, how bout that? :thumbsup:

Thanks, czechT698, for the positive nod. Per your comment, here is a quick take with the tails tinted as well. I figure that one could go darker on the 3rd brake light because it's only active during braking (not a visibility/running lamp, per say). I assume the tail lamps should be a bit less heavy-handed.

I'm thinking of this as a "spring-clean" mod... Tint the windows 35%, 3rd brake and a top-notch paint correction/detail (still looking for a qualified detailer to do this in VA).

rollingstone, I agree on that one, Its nice to give it a smoked touch, going all the way and making it black could result in problems disscussed on Page 1... cant wait to do mine.... :P Have you seen the video I posted the link to with an 04 Z with tinted rears?
 
hey just finish my 2nd exam there, and feel soooo relax! rollingstone that is nice on that coupe, think am goin for the rear light only and see how that goes!
really want to enjoy myself with my Z but the weather is Sh*T over here in ireland, so there's nothing to lokk forward to! :headbang:
 
well weather still crap!
