Timings for the standing 1/4 at Santa Pod

Finally made it to Santa Pod yesterday thanks to some spring weather. First time on a drag circuit and the first thing I learnt was how easy it is to sit on the green light going no-where whilst the rear tyres vapourise. It really was suprisingly hard to get a clean start. These are my 3 quickest times:
13.7069 seconds, 103.35mph
13.8600 seconds, 103.37mph
13.8608 seconds, 102.00mph
I would be interested if anyone else who has got some standing 1/4 miles times and speeds. I will post some youtube footage when I can get round to uploading it.
Overall a top day and well worth the £35 it costs for unlimited runs.
 
Ive only done 2 runs at Pod myself in my Zed with some crappy Cooper rear tyres at 2mm. The best was:

3.0i Roadster: 14.09 @ 98.2mph (2.05 to 60' so maybe able to hit 13's!!)
My other run was pretty attrocious as all i wanted to do was dust some Honda S2k off the line traffic light GP style, which i duly did all the way :P :driving:

What were your 60' times mate?
 
Was this in 1st ? Would be interested to know how you would get on starting in 2nd, at launch that was how people seemed to be getting consistent 4.8s 0-60s.
 
Sounds like you had fun and thats the main thing :)

Ive only ever done track days to have no idea how to launch a car. Its such small timing increments though that luck must play a part :?
 
I have done a few RWYB days at santapod in my old s2k... I wasnt particularly good - but best the best time i had was 14.9 sec.

Not done one in my Z4 yet - but as soon as i get rid of my CDV i'l give it a go.
 
All starts in first although the faster ones were with very little throttle and then short shifting to second. Not sure of the 60 times and have thrown the slips away.
It really is a lot harder than it looks. I've done many track days and this is very different. Once you've cocked it up with too much wheel spin then that's the run buggered :headbang: .
 
The trick i found on my S2k (which admittedly isnt the best for the car) was not to release the accelerator when shifting - but make sure you do very swift gear changes.
