Time to fix annoying paint job...

Zed is in the paint shop today to get a dodgy paint job on one panel fixed. I've removed the aerial and mount (thanks to a thread I found here that clearly mentioned the torx screw to be removed in the antenna 'box' to get the antenna mount off). And, in for a penny, in for a pound (as probably no one ever says...) I removed the roll bar covers as well, and will get them done at the same time. So, a one-off set of carbonschwarz roll bar covers should be coming back soon. Hopefully nowhere near as much of a PITA to put them back on as it was to get them off. All the stories are true - it must be nigh on impossible to remove them without breaking at least a couple of clips...
This is the panel with the bodged paint job:

Best of luck with the paint.

I would like to see the roll bar covers when they are done. That will change the look I bet.

Will post up a pic when I get the car back and I refit the covers. I'm a bit worried the glossy look might be a bit distracting, but I guess I'll know soon enough...

Picked up the car yesterday, guard repainted and looking much better  . This morning I fitted the roll bar covers and wind deflector back on - much, much easier than removing them.
So here they are - carbonschwarz covers...

Has it got body filler under the bad paint job?
Damn - forgot to ask, sorry...
I'm sure they would have mentioned it when I picked it up. I asked what would have caused the paint 'defect' on the guard and they could only put it down to over-aggressive buffing stripping the clear coat. I paid a 'professional' to groom the car last year, and noticed the problem as soon as I picked it up. They said all they had done was reveal the defects underneath. I have serious doubts but it's impossible to prove without detailed before/after pics.
