Thoughts on this Coupe / anyone know it?

Really struggling to find a replacement for my Z4 that I sold a few months back....originally after a 330i MSport Coupe but struggling to find a decent manual car. Have seen this Coupe and it's not to far away so just asking peoples thoughts on it, some eagle eyed members might spot something I can't! Is it an ex forum car? I actually really like it but seems to be lacking xenons :x (really wanted those) ...anything else I should be looking at or asking about?

Thanks

Can't say I have seen the car on here before although I haven't been on here for that long.

Looks like it's been cared for though. Xenon 'look' bulbs might soften the blow a little?

Despite the description, I'd say this car hasn't got heated seats - looks to be missing the buttons on the panel to me? If you can get hold of the VIN, you can get a download of the build spec to check what standard features and options it came with. Doesn't look like it has cruise or the button to switch off the passenger airbag (if that's something you need), so likely to be a fairly low spec car? Great colour though!

Not exactly overspecced but according to recent mutterings on here that is a good thing  MFSW , electric seats & pdc being about it for extras over standard

Wow! Haha cheers guys, thank you Mr Wilks....I was trying to see about the heated seats....to be honest I'm not massively fussed about most stuff but the 3 things I have come to like are bum warmers, mfsw, and xenons! N52 as well so no issues like the N53 330i...good!

 lol!

Just to clear up any potential confusion, electric seats and heated seats are different things - electric seats refers to the adjustment of the seats - sorry if you already realised that!

Looks pretty good to me OP - and it's a great colour (although I'm biased).

FWIW I paid a little less for mine last May with 78K miles, but that was a private sale.

I know that you mean about manual 330i MSport Coupes being rare as I briefly sort of wondered about one, but as I only wanted an early one so it had the N52 engine I'd probably still be looking!

Good luck anyway, whether you buy that one or another.

Yes I understand the seats, think I would rather of chosen heated over electric when new though!

Had a deposit down on a 330i MSport manual at Stratstone Derby last week but they phoned to say they weren't retailing it anymore due to issues with the exhaust ports...think I may take a look at this Coupe

Anything out the ordinary to look for coming from a 2.5si roadster to Coupe... not done much reading on them....price seems about right for a dealer?

That one was around when I bought mine about 4-5 months ago and he's still asking the same price so might be a bit of room for negotiation there, but you're right it's not a bad price for a dealer already!

Only reason I didn't go for it was the lack of heated seats and I found one with a grey leather interior and piano black dash which looks great against the Montego Blue exterior!

There are a few coupes out there but Autotrader is lacking in Montego Blue Coupes, could be your only chance to join the cool club! 8) :P

Just got back from seeing it....not good really in my eyes. Both rear arches/panels have had paint as has the front bumper and bonnet (this also has crazing) The bonnet is a crap job and would need to be redone, the wings look ok but evidence of paint around the aerial hole one side and the other hasn't had the trim removed before paint. Somebody has made a hash of the front bumper pass side, it's not on correctly and I can only describe it as having 2 holes drilled under the front wing you can see just above it. The previous owner was there randomly buying a Z4 Roadster but didn't speak with him as I knew the car wasn't for me at this stage. I didn't start it or check through the history as the bodywork wasn't up to scratch so went no further. No heated seats as stated, it is sat on Pirelli P-Zero runflats all round I think....there is movement on price but again I didn't get into that

Sounds like a bit of a horror show, glad i didn't waste my time going to see it now... good luck with the search mate, I'm sure the right one will turn up soon!

I saw this one on your list of results, not too sure about the interior trim to be honest but as I bought my from this company (Stirling Cars) I thought I would warn you about them. Mine had a pretty obvious oil leak from the oil cooler which I had to deal with Only a £25 part so didn't bother going to them to get it sorted as it would have wasted more time and energy than the job itself but if they are all subject to a 'full mechanical check' as they state this leak would have been found and dealt with not just cleaned up so it's not visible on inspection!

Yeah I always take that full check with a pinch of salt unless it's an AUC from BMW....I really do need a car and I'm even tempted to look for a Roadster again but 3.0si this time around (even though I sold mine because of the practicality issue) the N53 engine can seem to be troublesome with the HPFP going and injectors, can't find a good spec R32 and 130i M Sport 3dr manual are thin on the ground.

Should of kept mine!
