Called a few places to wrap my old smart purely out of curiosity. some quotes for £1500 and they wouldn't dismantle the car.![]()
I agree about the cost. A decent full wrap won't offer much of a saving on a respray, but given the choice of the two I'd go for the wrap anyway. If looked after properly the vinyl will last as long as you own the car (within reason), you don't have to inform the dvla of a colour change if wrapping, and your oem paint job is preserved perfectly underneath.
Haing said all that, I wouldn't go for a matt wrap myself. It's a little "5 years ago", and apparently a total pain in the arse to look after.
not quite true, the wrap won't last long , find the car witch was wrapped (and used daily ) 1.5-2 years ago and you will be shocked .It's only good as a temporary solution.
