Thoughts on carbon wrap roof

For a bit of fun, what do you guys think of wrapping my roof in a carbon effect?
Quite like this:

I know it's not the real thing but I can always remove if it looks crap.
This would be on Imola Red.

I think it's a great idea.

I know many on here will pour scorn on the idea, but at the end of the day, what real world difference would a real carbon roof make to a car? Eat a few less pies and it'd have the same effect and not cost the £1800 or whatever a real carbon roof costs!!

I think the look is what you want and the wrap would do that. I also think it'd look especially nice on the red. In fact, if I could find a top notch film, a top notch firm and know that it could come off and in no way affect my paint, I'd do it to.

Anyway, who's going to know without tapping the roof and still wondering..?! :fuelfire:

Go for it.

Go for it! I think it would look stunning on an Imola red car. I used Totally Dynamic in Southport to wrap the rails on my car. The company have done some impressive cars including an M coupe in matte black. Have bases in Scotland and the South. Excuse for a quick pic!

If the quality of the wrap and application are good then why not, so long as it's part of a theme of the car not just random bits or overdone.

Keep the real stuff for where it has to have either track performance gains, or strength such as diffusers.

Of course if you don't like it then peel off is an easy option

On a white car such as sixspeeds it looks great (I know he has the real thing), but will you be able to notice it on a black car?

did you ever do the wrap on roof if so have you any pics as thinking along the same lines for my E89 :)

I put carbon wrap on my hard top (also imola red roadster) and it did indeed look the part ......

only advice I can give is don't do it yourself unless you are an expert.
Had to take mine off because I could see all the tiny blemishes and mistakes Id made...... anything less than perfect wouldn't do.

I don't know if I'm missing something, but I can't see anything wrapped in CF on that car?

I think a carbon wrapped roof is one if the most tasteful and subtle mods you can do.......

I might be slightly biased though!
