This weekend's Ski's Z4 search question - Compression tests

It's been said before - firm but fair is my style (for good or bad).

I wasn't trying to make you feel dumb, but for a grown up with a history in the military you sure do have an 'unusual' approach.
Sure, but after previous posts in the thread, your comments are just piling on. I get it. Compression test unnecessary.

Yeah, I've spent my adult life in uniform, but even amongst friends/shipmates, we don't usually try to embarrass or pile on our mates. There's room for humour as well as civility in any group.

Think he’s Navy, so we make allowances 🤣

I don't mean to wear out my welcome
You won't do that, don't worry.

As said above, in various ways, asking for a compression test on a potential purchase is unheard of in the UK and completely over the top.

TBH I am impressed the dealer you asked came back to you with a reasonable answer. I would have expected them to either ignore you or tell you to feck off. Or asked what a compression test is. ;)

At what point does something stop being amusing and just become irritating i wonder?
The guy asked something that was a little left field and fair enough, he gets some ribbing for it. But now it is getting beyond that. We are meant to be here to assist, not denigrate.

I think the majority of us are here for the humour on this one tbh. For me, having spoken to the OP, you will never stop inter service jibes.

Fellows, I appreciate the support. I'm always game for a laugh, just felt like it was piling on, but we're past that now.

I'm fine to be henceforth known as 'The random canadian navy "Compression Test" guy.'
