You realise what a great site this is when using other car related sites. I'm a member of the M135i/235i Facebook site but don't really post much on there as it seems to be frequented by idiots for want of a better word. BabyBMW is a little better and post occasionally on there. Anyways thought I would share some pics of the M140i on the Facebook site, I should have known better really as it took less than 10 minutes for the sniping insults to start , "get the chrome sh*t of the car" "old mans spec" etc etc a pic of Dame Edna Everage was thrown in for good measure :| I don't get it really to be honest on what is supposed to be a car enthusiast site. Noticed it alot recently especially on FB, it appears to me they are younger people with money to purchase these cars but no manners to go with it. I removed my pics off FB after half an hour :(

Just makes you realise and appreciate what a good site this is :thumbsup:

That FB site sounds rubbish - not surprised you removed your pics :thumbsdown:
I agree with your comments about this forum - with so many members there are surprisingly few flare ups, we are fortunate to have ladies and gentlemen of fine taste and good manners :)
 
This is the only forum i frequent even though i dont own the Z4 anymore.

Yup, I sacked the FB Z4 page for very much the same reasons although I did sneak back in (I never post).

Much more civilised here even if we do have the occasional handbagging exchange :wink:
 
Yep, not had a Z4 for much longer than I did have one, still check in here almost daily to see what's new, what people have bought etc.

Tim, don't worry about the comments on Facebook, they're probably Corsa/Saxo drivers & likely to be just envious.
 
I am a member of other bimmer sites and I can honestly say that this forum is miles ahead of the other z4 sites!

The other sites are over run with trolls...

I agree, this is one of the best I use.

The TR forum has only half a dozen or so regulars, couple are know it alls, some are looking for arguments and one offers one word answers to everything!

lots of educated positivity around, help and support if needed and a fair old dose of common sense (usually)

Could that be because the majority here are rather educated? Either formally of have masters from 'The University of Life'.

Thanks Tony, the thing is on the FB site you have ask to join and looking at some of the posters who made the comments they own M135is etc, just a real shame as all it does is spoil the site :(

Love the fact that none car related topics can be debated in depth for weeks some times. :thumbsup: That just doesn't happen on other forums I frequent. Plus it's such a friendly place, but never the less shuts down idiots when they do appear. :wink:

I don't get on here by much at all anymore compared to past years, but I don't frequent anywhere else because I don't need to, and I can't be assed with all the dickheads out there. Zpost never did it for me - but it's very US based so that's fine - PH is just a troll-fest, and the U.K. Z4 FB page was an ego-driven joke that I left quite some time ago. The international one run by Dawn is pretty well managed though. This place is full of great folks with loads of knowledge and a mass sense of humour that breaks my internet connection sometimes. I love it, and all of you :oops: :lol:

I'm unsure if there were teething problems at first but it soon settled down after the first 2 years :lol:
