My 2010 e89 has the idrive satnav radio with built in hard drive.

I detest the junk FM radio pap, find the 50 or so stored cds tedious and wanted DAB so I can listen to my radio station of choice

Pondered an MMI box but at £400 decided it was too expensive

Found a solution for £50 in the form of a Pure Highway 600 DAB adapter. Aerial on the far side of the screen. Wires tucked out of sight and the gubbins plugged in under the armrest. Works a treat and sounds ok too.

Happy happy so far..

Amazed DAB works for you as in none of my cars do I get a consistent reception, anywhere where I drive in the UK nor mainland Europe. I have up in that years ago and only use Spotify now.

We must live in a stable DAB area. Our two ‘day cars’ have good reception, I have DAB radios in two of my ‘classics’ too, only the Z was without. Now that’s potentially solved too.
