Anyone fitted a stubby ? what is reception like on an e89

i dont think the visible aerial makes much of a difference. from what i have read on here thecar has a non visible one and only uses the one on the wing if the signal is very weak.

i might have just made that up though :|

i dont think it will affect it, even if it does just stick the old one back on

I don't imagine the shape of the car affects the reception

As in every model change certain items are improved, hence a question with logic

Unless BMW have dramatically weakened the strength of radio reception on the newer headunits I would wager you'll be fine ;)

I have a peugeot stubby and it works fine. That said I understand this aerial only effects AM reception.

Check the BMW Accessories, they have a shorter aerial for E89.

Just checked this out and they only do the standard size, the shorter one is for another model
Looks like I will try a stubby, always bin it if I don't like it!

Mine is just fine.

a Peugeot I believe is the correct fit.....got one from a forum member in the UK, thanks again looks great....

Hi Kryton,

Does your 35is comes with the 19" model 313 rims? I am contemplating to do a rim size upgrade to 313. Just wondering if you can comment on
the ride quality of the rims? and if it is fitted with RFT or regular tyres? Cheers

Hello, the 313's are not a factory fitted option in the UK, mine are 19" 326 rims, which run on RFT's and the ride quality is very good, will buy them again when they wear out.

Fitted today, reception is fantastic must be the area I live in? will have to give the car it's first wash soon :)

cost £5.24 what a gift
