Hi Guys

I was talking to a guy sunday that does vinyl wraps, he was the one that was on top gear a the other week or so doing the three cars. he has a BMW 3 series and has wrapped it white, it look really well and he has given me a really good quote :) but what do people think of mine going white. i do love white cars but not seen many Z4's in white apart from the new E89.
im very tempted to do it

Is it to match your van..... :poke:

Or your fridge?
:D

Its your car buddy but I really dont think white suits the E85/86 there are some very cool matt metalic vinyls available that are tempting.

I say if its something you want to do then go for it. Its your car and personally I think an E85 looks pretty good in white.
Only worry I'd have on a wrap was the cleaning and maintenance.

As mentioned above, cleaning and maintenance would be my concerns. I wouldn't have thought it will be as durable as a painted finish?

As for colour, that's all down to personal preference. :)

A couple of years back I quite liked white and fancied that colour for my next car. Nowadays it seems every other new(ish) car on the road I see is white. Just too common now for my taste.

Nearly every drive-way in my road has a white car and it is now a boring colour IMHO like black or silver was a while back.

Its what you like after all, but wrapping is a no-no for me. Buy a car you like and live with it.

I would not have dreamed of choosing a Melbourne red Z4 but finding a new one at an excellent price with all the extras I wanted was a no brainer and I feel entirely comfortable with it now. Would I choose to buy a new red one in the future? No probably not, but the interior and other factors are of far more importance than the paintwork to me.

Yeah its food for thought. I do still like white cars, and my van is silver

Will have to see what other colours are out there.

Don't be put off by opinions-its your zed! :)

Had a white E89 a few years back and it was well admired but think white is getting very common now. As said previously it's your car so your choice. The new colour seams to be orange but saw what I would describe as a baby blue E85 the other week on the M1 and that looked stunning

Who in their right mind would want a white car? They look like a refrigerator, or a van, so common and dated.... :poke:

I love the picture of your fridge in your signature. ...

I thought about it but after what happened to Michael Jackson I'll give it a miss :o

The colour maybe be changing, but that's only half the story. It will be a plastic finish.
You can't beat real paint work, especially when polished. That glorious deep shine.

All wrapped cars I've seen in the flesh have that shiny plastic look to it, especially when the sun is shining.
I'd pay the little bit extra and get it re sprayed if you really wanted it white and enjoy washing and polishing it.

Wrap it, and your polishing days are over....along with that nag in the back of your mind that you wished you had paint.
