Thinking of getting these wheels

I have cheap rubber on my wheels and it's absolutely fine. Used it on a couple track days and it stands the test no problem.

If anything I find I have to much grip on the rear.!!

No doubt everyone on here will tell you need the best money can buy thou. It's good to have both sides of the story.

Not sure on tyres yet. Looking at wheels Monday and then make decision about tyres. Have had falkens on previous cars and found them to be pretty good. Also had Avon zz1 and they were great in dry but bit unpredictable in wet.
So will look at price vs capability and then make decision

Not saying you should go premium , there are plenty of mid range that offer decent capabilities such as Nexen,Maxxis & Kumho .
What brand did you have Yorkie , worth sharing

Tyre opinions are a tough one and maybe depend on your driving styles and car setup. I know many people who rated kumho ecsta highly on their after market wheels. As a result I went to kumho but went back to continental because they were so much better. I drove a similar car to mine with Toyo 888 and it was awesome, probably better than the contis but it was dry.

The point I'm trying to make is unless you personally run different tyres on the same car it's difficult to make a comparison. Also look at your driving style. If you want to push your car to the limit then splash out on some good tyres. Avoid budget tyres!! I ran falkans once and thought they were absolutely brilliant. When it came to replacement time my mate sold me some p zero Nero the improve, was incredible and I never knew my car could handle so well!!

None of the above were on a zed

P.s. I've had lots of beer!! Missing the zed

Whats not to like  almost went for the Zitos myself but was swayed by the finish on these AXE GTS 19s :

I prefer these AXE GTE 's ,finish looks better bit more gloss /shine, the Zitos seem to have more of a satin finish,

Not sure Ray, but I will have a look when the car is back from the garage (note to myself: take more care with kerbs!). :headbang:

Nearside alloys being repainted.........................................

Oh no hope it looks good when painted and thanks

Thanks Ray.

Annoyed with myself as I was rushing this morning and clipped a kerb that I have managed to miss for 12 years.

Only a couple of scuffs, but they really stand out on such large wheels.

Currently on the tyres that came with the car when I purchased it in December 2014 (Falken 235/35 ZR 19s front and 265/30 ZR 19s read).

Looking to replace the tyres soon.
