Thinking of buying a 2008 Z4 3.0si Roadster...What should I look out for?

Hi All,

I am considering buying a 2008 BMW Z4 3.0si Roadster, Automatic. I had a 2003 Z4 3.0i Roadster back in the day and now I'm in a position where I can actually get a toy car rather than having the Z4 as a daily driver (horrible car for daily driver in New England).

I loved my car, favorite car I've ever had so I'm looking for another E85. I love how analog the car is. I think it is hard to get a car that feels that pure nowadays.

Anywho, I haven't been in touch with the Z4 community for a while.

Any things I should look out for with this car? Unfortunately its not at a BMW dealer but it was purchased and fully serviced at a BMW dealer and then a 3rd party smaller dealer bought the car at auction from the originally purchased and traded in dealer. 1 owner, no accidents. CarFax is clean and doesn't look like any major issues with the vehicle during ownership.

It has 61k miles on it and it is 2008.

Any major upcoming services that I should factor in? It is listed for $15k right now, hoping to get them down to around $13k, you think that's the right number?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you send us a link to the advert? The N52K engine (black top) is about as good as it gets in an E85 outside of an M so problems should be few and far between. There are the usual items like water pump and broken rear springs but not much else at that age and mileage. Suspension bushes might be just starting to get tired perhaps.

Perhaps more important is the spec and service history. Is it running premium tyres all around or the horrible OEM runflats?
