Thieving scum

Comes to something when you have 5 solar lights worth 2 quid each nicked off the front garden, I mean WTF and worthless. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac and unfortunately my Cam didn't pick anything up as out of range. If I caught the thief I'd slice their fingers off :x

Tim.

School kids may be. :(

We had the kids slide nicked out of the garden of our first home. Found out where it had gone, by chance and had the last laugh on the scum bags.

I Jest Fred but I do hate thieving scumbags. Ive had plenty of kit stolen over the years, about £4k's worth last spring and i wouldn't cut their fingers off..... i'd give them both barrels!! :x

I had some lights nicked off the front some 10 years ago but been OK since, the road is really quiet, theres no kids or school kids that pass by so a bit weird and I live at the end of the culdesac. I've only set a cam up since I got the M140i which covers the car port as the car has become a bit of a theft magnet but no real history of thieving down the street. Beggars belief, the lights were there last night, never noticed this morning but noticed straight away when I came home from work. I'm not bothered about the lights just the fact someone was on the garden. I'm going to get some more and concrete them in. I would have loved it if the cam had caught them so might get another to cover the front of the house.

Never been any drama down the street apart from the next door but one neighbour killing themselves in the bedroom, apart from that nothing.

Tim.

Don't worry about your lights Tim, my cars currently at the dealer getting accessed for this.

Two Oners got done within 100 meters of each other Monday night

Both locked and mine doesn't have confort access so little mithed on how they got in.

Did you post this on FB as sure I saw it yesterday. Hell fire, bastards. They must have cloned your key if they got in without damaging the locks. Items like steering wheels are acommon item to be nicked especially as the latest M Sport wheel is quite a nice item. A work colleague had the bonnet and headlights nicked off his Fiesta when parked up in Manchester over night :o

Wow, what total tossers :o

Yes was me, thats all they took from the other car, wheel and air bag. Apparently 2k from the dealer and their on back order according him.

I'll hopefully find out tomorrow what the damage is and how long the wait will be.

Not much shocks me these days in the world of 24/7 media but that genuinely did, particularly if it happened on your driveway. That's a worry not just for 135/140i/M3/M4 etc owners but the owner of any 1/2/3/4 series. Coming to think of it any BMW built in the last 4 years since the newer design of M Sport wheel starting appearing. Sat Nav wise was it the standard system or the full beans one?

I've wondered about the multimedia systems in these cars, I've got the professional nav which was a 900 quid option and really it's like having sweeties on display and probably quite sort after if they can be easily ripped out the car. I don't think the tablet type design is very good at resisting theft. The nav screen in my Hyundai is built into the dash so you would need to remove the whole dash to get it out. Mercedes are the same with the ipad type tablets sitting on top of the dash. Far too easy to remove.

Will be going through insurance for sure

it's still going to cost you as well as everyone else. this is why premiums are increasing year on year now.

you will now have a claim on your record and lose your no claims bonus. so i fully expect you to pay £2K in increased premiums over the next 5 years.

pity you don't have cctv. i'm now thinking of getting some. next payday i'll be looking into some hiikvision kit and a NVR.

i hope they are caught and the book thrown at them. crime is on the up in austerity britain. with Brexit it will only get worse.
