Does anyone know where the thermostat is located i am guessing it under the front cover above the rad but if anyone can point me to exactly where it is it would be a help.
 
Are you having troubles with yours?

I had mine replaced under warranty on my 2.5si (same engined as yours). It's also electric assisted or something like that so not sure how east it is to test.

It's at the front lower right of the engine, sits right on top of the water pump. The electric bit melts a wax core so it opens earlier. Otherwise it's strictly mechanical. You should be able to take the housing apart to test, though it is permanently attached to the lower half. It is a 103C stat, so you need to test in coolant.
 
Thanks guys... thought mine was on the way out but its working again..... did the old high temp and no heating but all fine now :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
