There's a bat in my loft.

I actually feel sick. My head was a few feet away from it getting christmas out of the loft and I didn't realise.

Just remember that they are a protected species, so you can't harm them.....

......however your cat is a cold and ruthless killing machine that doesn't understand British law :D

There's a special bat room at Longleat where you get to walk through and they fly around your head. It's pretty cool, although admittedly it's not my personal property or space.

Good luck Carol!

I've just made them put the christmas boxes back up there and they said it was fast asleep. I've just googled it and they hibernate from November to March.
I should get them to get rid of it, asleep or not.

I walked through the bat room at Chester zoo and it was one of the worst things ever. Never again.
I don't mind fruit bats, they're big and quite nice but these small winged vermin are disgusting.
Have you seen how they walk? Euchhh.

They are lovely things leave it alone and as Sars says protected. Their fascinating to watch when flying at dusk. It will probably leave anyways after a few nights of your snoring

Lucy and I went through that tunnel in the bat cave at Chester zoo, it was amazing to feel them flyby so close to you. Was so impressed with Lubes she didn't scream out once, which was more than could be said with many of the other visitors :D

I stuck my head in Mr M's shoulder, shut my eyes and virtually ran him through!
One of them was trying to get out the double doors, crafty thing crawled though the first door when it opened and was waiting for the outer doors to open. The girl had to shoo it back inside.
