There are some NICE people around

with regards to leaving the scene of an accident, as long as the guy reports it to the police if he felt threatened at the time, he'll be fine and get away with it.

a guy recently jumped into the path of a car i was driving for no reason (other than to get some compo i suspect). it was midnight and there were no street lights. as i had the missus with me i continued the journey home and then phoned the police and reported the incident. the lady said it was fine as long as you report it within a reasonable period of time.

Happy end to a sad story, but that nice lady some flowers and chocs mate!
That Bellend that hit your car will go to court and will get prob 6 points and a fine...... f***ing mug :x

I doubt anything will actually happen to the person that hit you....

A women did a hit and run on my car, in his M5.... he was stopped at the light, she came from a side road, hit the front side of his car, maneuvered around and sped off. As it was a high street she got caught at the lights. He ran out of the car caught up with her and spoke to her... she said sorry didnt know it hit you.. said she would pull over.... he walked back to his car (as he left it abandoned at the lights) and she drove off :headbang:

He had her plate and i posted it on here at the time and the good people here found out the details of her car - and that she was indeed insured

He reported her to the police to get a crime reference number... She denied it.... police didnt bother with CCTV camera as no-one was hurt.... 2 years later it went to court he won the case... but as it was so easy for her to get away with it... she will probably continue to do this.

Exactly right. The scroat will lie through his teeth until he has no room to get out of it and will then admit to the wrongdoing with impunity.

Until such time as the law comes down on these gits like a ton of bricks they'll keep doing it. This is "no blame Britain" as we all know.

Nice result on the lady getting the plate though. At least the scroats insurance will have to pay out and his premium will go up for the next 3 to 5 years :D

he could still protest it in court though. not being able to remember something isn't a criminal offence.
