Sure was.
Strange film in some places but funny and serious.
Depp seems to have this massive reputation as a great actor, but he seems to play the same type in every film I've seen. That is eccentric, slightly mad and irreverent. Not seen him play a truly serious role yet but also never been disappointed (fab as the Mad Hatter in Alice!).
He's got nowhere near the versatility of some the greats like Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, John Travolta, Cary Grant, Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington to name but a few who you never see in a bad movie.
