The rest of the world slows down...

Anyone noticed a the rest of the world slow down? It could be getting used to drving an M car, but I'm sure it couldn't be the car's fault (such a feat of engineering).. it must be that everyone else has suddenly gone into slow motion.. other cars now seem feeble and slow (where's the attack?!).. strangers seem more annoying (stop boring me and let me drive).. I hope I'm not alone in this strange phenomena, but if so, maybe the few M car drivers out there are the last on Earth who haven't suddenly gotten very sluggish!! 8)

Yep, and with the proposed blanket 50mph limit on A and B roads next year it is set to get worse!!

Might as well order that SMART car now!! :P

Always! :P Why pay twice the price to keep something on the road that isn't quicker on the road! :fuelfire:

PS. Just like to point out that pvr started the M thing, not me!

hmmmm.

.. anyway.. i think similar things, until i drive my 406 HDI and realise that the world works at slower speeds too, bring me back down to earth.

If I only end up driving the red one for a few weeks and not the slow one, I turn into a bit of a hooligan. :driving:

They all slow down to rubberneck at our gorgeous rides. Some even take pictures as if they've spotted a supercar or something.

we all need to get out on the roads this Summer and enjoy driving these fantastic cars, before the Fun Police make spirited driving a criminal offence :driving:

Breaker, that sounds suspiciously like the automotive equivalent of penis-envy :poke:

I even find myself going for more overtakes in my van compared to 6 months ago - damn slow drivers. And 130bhp/1850kgs isn't even that quick...

The thing is with road policing in the UK is that it policing by numbers. What I mean by that is that its always very predictable where speed traps are, cameras are usually in fixed locations etc generally its very easy to get a feel for th type of road that the vans will use to park up (think artificially low speed limit dual carriageways and wise 30 mph roads) -There will always be the good old tradtitional B road. We have too many of them to police. If you drive up to North Yorkshire they dont even have cameras and probably have 4 traffic cars covering the whole country so your never going to get caught speeding up there (only near the Boroughbridge exit where they site ALL the time).

Fridaypassion, you need to organise a North Yorkshire run this spring.

I have several routes around North Wales where you can drive on twisty 'B' roads, there's usually little traffic and despite North Wales reputation for excessive plod I have only seen them on the predictable fast 'A' and 'B' roads. As you say you can usually anticipate where they'll be (with the help of my sat nav map and road angel)
