ok called in a morning sicky at work and had alittle play!!

Definitely getting installed... it looks absolutely class!! I'm loosing none of the ductail its just turned up x 10!! quality of the part is like an oem piece, against the silver it just works so well, infact as per the title i think this IS the best spoiler available for the z4 as all is does is complement whats already their but in a very cool way.

Completely agree, the silver and black contrast looks really good - wasn't sure initially but the pictures speak for themselves. Quite literally! Slightly jealous!

Let me know if you're selling the Alpina, could be interested

Certainly looks nicely crafted but for me needs to be colour coded to add a subtle extension to OEM ducktail lip

Yes, that may help a lot and be far more subtle.

That looks beautiful 8) think I would colour code it, but fade it out and leave the middle part carbon fibre.

Quite a few people are for the colour coded option, however I think this particular colour combination, titan silver and black goes well. There are some which I don't think it would suit so well, one example (IMO) being sterling grey. This contrast however works great, initially I voiced my doubts whether it would work too. Pics on P4 speak for themselves.

Possibly even worth taking z4pilot up on his suggestion. Could be quite a lucrative option that could "pay off" your £400+ initial outlay.

Make sure you tell your insurers as in my experience they often view spoilers as something they charge extra for.

My problem with it is it looks like an after thought, doesn't look crazy enough to look different and make a statement and doesn't look oem. Also it extends the boot lid so far it starts to look a little odd. BUT who cares as it's ur car and if it makes u smile then it's served it's purpose.

really enjoyed the feedback here from everyone good and bad its defintely food for thought!!

its definteinly getting installed and I'm very very pleased with the item, i have decided to leave it in the gel coat carbon.

alpina unit will be for sale shortly.

Looks great Beedub,

I like the carbon against the silver too, best spoiler available for the roadster i reckon.

finally got this fitted !! the ductail is on steroids!! lol!

i used automotive 3m VHB tape, this stuff is no joke.... but it allows the car to be reverted back to stock, but I'm guessing it will need to be cut off with fishing line etc,

i will be getting the alpina spoiler out the loft shortly and it will be for sale in due course. To the people that PM they will have first refusal.

That's tantalising Beedub ! we're all in suspenders now

it looks identical to the pre shots before marlon.... I'm very happy with it and its totally reversible if i change my mind in the future.....

I think this spoiler looks great but too expensive for me, has anyone had the maxton one fitted?
I see they do a front splitter too.

400$ ... and produce in china? :o

So my rear spoiler lip for the z4 e86, it will produce in germany and cost ~360€.
I think its a little bit to much.

I will produce once similar tho this in germany, i think it will be cost ~330-375€.

But by the way, it seems to be nice =)

Looks great beedub

I am still toying with the idea of an OEM spoiler, but that one is ace - good arrows 8)

iphone comes from china :D :D :D :D

the quality of the piece is super nice... i look forward to seeing your unit for the 330 Euro :poke: :poke: :poke: but no doubt it was expensive but.... put it this way, I'm happy to have an item no one else will have in the UK...

Quality seems very good, and it takes a lot of hours to build something like this (i know it).
The piece is so nice, that my girlfriend wants one

But we calculate (in germany) whit a hour wage of 24€ (material costs ~40€) an we can sell the spoiler for the
foreign countries for Spoiler 300€ + shipping and diffusor 675€ + shipping. =)
and the piece are all made in Prepreg (Autoclave)

My reflection is, how can cost a part, that will be produce in china, so much (400$ - hour wage 5€??) ?
I did not want to say that the quality is bad. :D

So enjoy it and i hope you understand my bad english :D

Some pics =)
