We’ve all read stuff on here and wondered what the hell does that mean? Then we find out, and it sounds obvious. Well here’s the chance to share our knowledge.

I will start it off with a few things that stumped me for ages:

CDV delete – Removing the Clutch Delay Valve to give a smoother and quicker 1st and 2nd gear change.

SWMBO – She who must be obeyed.

flimper spec:

Primarily no satnav.

In addition:

- No bluetooth
- No Carbon Fibre dash
- No folding mirrors
- No heated seats
- No PDC
- No cruise control

:P

SWMBO is the saddest thing i've ever read on here. Pathetic men

Having used that very phrase, I can honestly say that it's entirely tongue in cheek. My wife's MEGA. I probably wouldn't have a Z4 if it weren't for her nagging encouragement. :D

Mine didn't have satnav but it had all of the other options you have listed...semi flimper spec then :D

There is also the saying, "to flimper, or flimpering about", which means driving aimlessly around - primarily in the wrong direction (London meet originated, affirmed during the Wales meet last year ... ), then there is to "de-flimper" which is seeing the errors of your ways and trying to make amends.

Need to swap out those mirrors, those little motors are adding unnecessary weight to your Zed.

I only recently discovered these from the Forum:

LSD - Limited Slip Differential
WUM - Wind Up Merchant

Is Ben G single, or unhappily married ? SWMBO applies in my house, but I have been (mostly) happily married to the same lady for almost 50 years (July 30, 1966) and she was pleased when I replaced the Boxster S with the Z4 and much prefers the Zed.

Wow, married the same year that my wife was born, I won't say how old she is though
