The new MHD ‘Flasher’ App

I need to revert to stock mapping for two weeks (for emissions test) and flash again.

My last flash was in the spring 2024 with the ‘N54’ app. And I’ve just learnt that MHD rolled out the ‘Flasher’ app in December 2024. And started discontinuing the N54 app.

The Flasher app wouldn’t just revert to stock the flash done with the N54 app. I first had to do a full flash with the Flasher app over the flash done two years ago with the N54 app. Then revert to stock with the Flasher app. Two flashes. But all’s well that ends well. FYI.

It seems the Flasher app has new features. Looking forward to trying them out after the emission test.

Wouldn't "throttle lag" just be the same as the adjustable throttle delay setting in the N54 app?

AFAIK there are two variables linear vs non linear throttle and lag/ response..I may be conflating in part with xHP..long time since I set mine up

No you are correct. They were both there in the N54 app.

Slide bar for each I think, also with a "1M" setting for throttle lag/response/delay if you wanted zero programmed in delay.

ah yes I went with linear and M1 I remember 550bhp needs a bit of something to make it feel quicker..

actually linear has the opposite effect ..heh ho

Same. You can't have an N54 and not tick a box that says "1M". Linear does feel slower, but it also felt like that's how Ayrton Senna would have it, none of this front loaded throttle nonsense.

Antilag was on there too, but I could never work out how to use it and I was scared of hurting the turbos...

Linear does feel slower

Linear requires a retraining of the noggin and foot. Most of us spent most of driving careers with progressive throttle. Once you retrain your habits, linear is just as fast. Ayrton taught me that.
