The key does nothing

I approached the car and lowered the roof by pressing the fob.

Then realised I wasn't ready to go so pulled out the key from the fob and put it in the lock to raise the roof (don't have comfort access). The roof didn't rise.

Now i've never raised the roof on the iS this way but had before on the 23i then I noticed another problem.

The key wouldn't even lock the door! Nothing! I turned it back and forth and the lock wouldn't raise or lower :thumbsdown:

I'm totally baffled :? .

This has happened to a few of us. For a few weeks, I had to to everything manually. Then it just started working again.
