Ivermectin.
Remember the name.

I’m too sceptical to believe that big.. and little pharma have been working their asses off purely and simply to provide an effective vaccination against Covid-19 without some form of profit/control agenda being implanted into the mix.

We now have what is it, 4 effective vaccines available with more on the way, all having been developed, tested and produced independently and fast-tracked through what is ordinarily a process that takes years not months to reach the marketplace.
The fact that we can fast-track vaccines to global markets, notwithstanding the urgent requirements of a global pandemic, means that we could technically get vaccines to market faster if we really wanted to, emergency or not, and qualifies the theory that some vaccines are deliberately held back for years due not in part to the requirement for extensive testing, but more due to the fact that big pharma controls and profits from medication and treatment which these vaccines would deem obsolete.

Too cynical?
Not when I happened to come across this impassioned senate hearing by a qualified physician extolling the benefits of a cheap and globally-available drug called ‘Ivermectin’.
Ivermectin is used to treat parasitic infections in humans and animals and seems to have remarkable effectiveness not only in the prevention of Covid 19 but also in treating it.

Why aren’t we hearing more about Ivermectin as a viable drug for use in the prevention and treatment of C19?

Listen to what Pierre Kory MD has to say, as well as other eminent physicians. Then consider if ‘the jab’ is the only viable choice.

Sorry, you lost me at 'big pharma'. What a retarded phrase. I can't stand it.
t’s a commonly-used phrase and theory.
Maybe I should have used the term ‘pharmaceutical industry’ to satisfy your pedantism?

I know this is the lounge. I know, I know.

But why? Why Z4 Forum? Surely this subject has been done to death on here. There are plenty of other good forums where this topic is far more suitable.

I hope admin closes this one too, because, frankly Chris, you know this will descend into forum members 'strongly disagreeing' with each other. It's getting so depressing and casting the forum in such a bad light.

 I just don't like all these ridiculous terms used nowadays. Karen, big pharma, simp etc. It's all a bit primary school. It's almost like people are inventing terms to make themselves look cool on the Internet.

So you want censorship if you don't agree with the content? hmm....ok.

Thats kinda the whole point of words and language mate, they convey information, ideas and thoughts
Karen - Women seeming to be entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal.
big pharma - Major multinational pharmaceutical companies collectively as a sector of industry
SIMP - Men who are seen as too attentive and submissive to women, especially out of a failed hope of winning some entitled sexual attention or activity from them.

When a single word conveys a whole host of information that's a good thing otherwise or conversations would be more akin to those of the Ents (taking hours and hours for the most simple exchange of info)

You’re missing the point; this is a ‘forum’. If you don’t understand the premise I suggest you read the wiki.

I’m merely highlighting the fact that we have what in my and others opinion is an alternative to the widely discussed ‘jab’ vaccine in the form of Ivermectin.

The name was mentioned once in pvr’s ‘the jab....’ thread and in my view it warrants it’s own thread.
After doing a small amount of online research I am now of the opinion that it also has a legitimate place in addressing the pandemic and I don’t understand why the WHO as well as regulatory bodies are not reviewing the data and pushing for it to be considered for re-purpose.

Share your own view on Ivermectin instead of arbitrarily dismissing the subject as being ‘done to death’, because frankly, it actually hasn’t!

Interesting thread actually imo, I wasnt really aware of this so its given me new information and as someone who is interested, I'll read it

It's pathetic, but whatever floats your boat.

I’m quite pleased with myself as I was only aware of big pharma out of your list FF

Care to point me at a clinical trial of the drug. Doctors' opinions on YouTube don't count. :-)

I've had a look on Medline and found 2 studies.

There is this one clinical study ongoing in Columbia, https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04602507 but they won't show any results until March.

This one in Bangladesh: https://www.ijidonline.com/article/S1201-9712(20)32506-6/fulltext
Is interesting, it shows a statistically significant difference in viral clearance between the Invermectin group and the placebo, although the numbers are small. So early intervention with the drug may well reduce the chance of spreading the virus around.

However it was less clear that the drug improves the clinical outcome. Duration of hospitalisation for placebo was 9.7 days on average and for the drug group it was 9.6 days.

Since an ounce of prevention is IMHO better than a pound of cure, then personally, I'd still go for the vaccine and if the drug works for those who still contract the virus then great. I don't believe it's an either or decision.

Look forward to seeing those case studies, thanks.

This says it all, just because you are not interested in a subject doesnt give anybody the right to piss all over it.
However the other side is that it is on a public forum and not everybody will agree with whatever subject the posts are about.
