The itch has been scratched......

Well its funny how days turn out. I saw an add on piston heads been looking for a bit and never really got any where never got the right price or the right options combo. Looking for low milage sat nav etc. saw a 3 litre but it was down in the midlands. A low miler in whitley bay and a 35i that well looked good but didnt have many options.

So this morning a look in pistonheads I saw a 23i in Motherwell. lowish price on an 09 plate with decent options. This ill be gone I thought so phoned and made the arrangements to get along after work.

Silver with a red leather interior. and I can tell you it was immac - no marks on the alloys and the paintwork unmarked. inside same story imaculate with no signs of wear.

Test drive - went very well lovely zing to the engine - and it went pretty fast indeed mind you anything would be faster than an A6 diesel. So deal done 12 months warranty and 6 months tax and a ful tank of fuel.

Gotta be done as they say - have a little fun and try and 'vert at least once in your life. Im going to enjoy this journey....

The sales man is on holiday for a week and I think they want to run it through the workshop - it needs a service. Looking forward to getting my paws on it and having some open top fun. tsk tsk a little rain hurt no one.

Mate get them to check the alloys or check them yourself at the dealer, not wanting to rain on your parade but the 296's are prone to cracking....just a heads up

Looks great in the piston heads pics.
There's just something about red leather ...

cheers for all the well wishes - full years warranty on it and will have the alloys checked out when I get it.

Is there any way to find out how this car was specec ? Any simple way of doing that ?

Good idea, as there is no guarantee that BMW even cover cracked alloys under warranty so you need to get it sorted before you drive away

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new purchase. Looks great and lovely colour combination.

Look forward to some more pics when you get your hands on her!

:)

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on being itch-free - it's a wonderfully liberating feeling 8)

Yes - put your VIN code into here, if you know it (on the V5)....
