The Goodyear Eagle-360 concept tire

Held onto the car by levitation? Using unicorn dust and leprechaun spit no doubt. All sounds a bit to futuristic to me. Not sure if I like the idea of a wheel not being tethered to the car somehow.
 
Anyone remember iRobot with Will Smith, Audi designed a futuristic car that had spherical wheels, had me hooked on the idea, thinking of the sensation of a four wheel drift with no loss of traction.
 
Ignoring the spherical element, which is perhaps a few years farther off, there is some good stuff in there.

If concept means making a ball of rubber and some cartoons, then Walt Disney could be well ahead of the game. For me a concept is something that might actually happen, otherwise it is just an interesting idea with pictures.

Cars levitating on balls of wheels using magnets? Interesting idea. For me a concept has a little more substance than a schoolboys dream. I think someone at Goodyear has too much time on their hands and it's time to call in the HR department.
