The dreaded ABS pump issue FIXED

I've been getting the ABS/Handbrake and TC lights flash up, had the codes read and its flagging up as the ABS pump.

Having a bit of a read, I either go to BMW and lube myself up or send the unit away and get it refurbished.

So has anyone had this job done around the Birmingham area and can recommend someone?

I was either thinking of Autobahn / RSJ (Good prices but hate the workshop/contact) or new option is someone called Jo Darby near Redditch.

The thought of being without a car for 5 days is annoying as I need it for work.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Eco Testing Ltd in Derbyshire are excellent for repairing abs pumps. The repair has a lifetime guarantee .You need to take the part off and send to them.Turn around is about 7 days.

Wicked will check them out, really awkward having to be without a car for so long :(

On another note, i've read a few people experiencing random lights, like the bulb light coming up, and it tends to also happen when the water pump goes. Could there be something underlying causing all of these things to screw up or just bad luck. :poke:

i recently had mine sent there and fixed, all working now think for garage cost to take off store car and fit back was about 400

But its guaranteed for life so, better then bmws prices and 12 month warranty or somet daft

On the above advice unit was sent to ECU testing and the problem is now fixed. With the cost of rents and repair it was just shy of £800. So can't complain too much. Better than 1700 for just the pump.
