Hes truly a god when it comes to restoring paint and clearly knows what hes talking about. The end result is amazing. I would love to have him work on my car.

I'm slowly getting sucked into this , started off with AB Magifoam. And gun , then wheel cleaners, vinyl detailing cleaners and finishers, drying towels . Leather cleaners and conditioners engine cleaners ,detail brushes it's quite addictive , but the results that these products provide are amazing , considering a polishing machine next , mains electric type ,which one though ???? Any advice gratefully accepted,

Large throw dual action polisher, like DA-21E from autobrite direct. Or if you want to go serious rotary like flex rotary polisher. I have both.
But caution.. when you go into the detailing and correcting lot of money will throw out from doors and windows. :P

This car detailing usually is that you buy products, and you are while happy. Then you see swirl marks and you have to get those sorted. Then you buy one machine, and when you get skills you buy 1-2 machines more, then pads, compounds etc.. money flying out of doors and windows
I have something like 2000-2500 invested in my gear. :P

I know what you r saying re costs started off with foam then wheel cleaner then your in ,but I may consider a polisher ,thanks for the advice ,

They have plenty of other episodes dedicated to cleaning a car and they go into great detail. Last I checked they came out with a 3rd season already. Im not sure how the episodes work but here's their playlist on youtube

das 21  I have one and it works a treat. I do love a good detail though. 10 hours or graft and my 2003 Z4 has zero swirls and paint looks very slick all the time now.
