I really enjoyed that, a great race.

I think we forget sometimes what a great racer Lewis is. He'd be quite a way clear by now, were it not for the team's muck-ups this year. Great viewing though and let's hope the World Championship stays a nail-biter right to the end.

Shame Jenson's struggling, a top bloke and a great driver.

BBC all the way, all these broadcast licences are bullshit.

Its like the ITV coverage of the Euros, Adrian Charles pisses me off no end and if they go 5 mins without a commercial its a miracle. BBC coverage is always better IMO.

Usually I'd be with you on this one. But when Sky got the licence for F1, it was on the proviso that the live race would be screened without a commercial break. They've done a pretty good job of it so far...
 
I much prefer the Sky coverage, got sick of Coultards tongue so far up the red bull's arses :poke:

starting to like Simon and Johnny's banter :thumbsup:

I tend to agree although Sky has got it's good points. The comprehensive coverage (including Practice, and a weekly F1 show) is great and I think Brundle/Croft/Herbert/Kravitz are all good presenters but I also think for the Beeb EJ/Coulthard are strong and Jake Humphrey is a much better anchor presenter than Simon Lazenby. An amalgam of the two would be perfect ! I still think the BBC and Sky should set up a joint venture sports channel between them.
 
I like the F1 channel on sky.... especially the older race re-runs etc. No doubt I'll end up getting sky sometime soon

A combination of Jake Humphrey (much better on F1 'day job' than on the Jubilee coverage), Martin Brundle & Johnny Herbert with Ted Ktavitz doing his pit lane stuff would be the presenter 'dream team', I reckon.
 
Glad I managed to avoid the result all day... just watched the recorded highlights, great race :D

shame about jenson though :?

Not sure but could be a good bet because surely Raikkonen or Grosjean will win one before long. Massa's got to be on borrowed time at Ferrari too.
 
still 4 drivers i recon could win a race this season so an 8th winner is on the cards

1 grosjean (would say strongest of the lotus drivers)
2 raikkonen
3 perez
4 schumacher (really bad luck this season)

All sky needs to do is get the rights to 'the chain' as Sky F1 always seems a bit flat during the start and end credits compared to the beeb

I'm not expecting an 8th winner for a few races now. Given recent form, I expect the 8th race to won by one of Lewis, Alonso, Webber or Vettel.
Can't remember what recent form is like for the teams at Valencia, and although I expect Button and Schumacher's luck to change I don't expect them to win the next race. Likewise it's only a matter of time before Kimi or Grosjean wins a race but I'm just not expecting it yet. As for Perez - I think he's missed his chance in Malaysia. Sauber won't be able to stay in the development race later this season with the top teams, so they need to capitalise now cos I reckon into the latter stages they'll fall back a wee bit.
