Testing the water on selling Z4MC

Hi guys, i'm debating weather to sell my Z4MC now rather than wait till next years warmer months. She has only just clicked over onto 42k and has just had Inspection 2 service carried out and has been given a glowing healthy report with no shims needed and then been garaged since bringing her home...
Do you guys think it would be worthwhile holding out till summer months for a better price, or try selling her now with it just having the Inspection 2 service.

I personally dont think its going to make a major difference either way, if you sell now there should be less for sale making yours stand out more to the potential buyers.

If you wait there will be more buyers giving your more opportunity.

Sell when you need to sell I say.

I suppose you're right there. Dont get me wrong i love the car and im not needing to sell it, just figured i fancy a change, and if someone offers me what i'd be happy with then i will sell just not sure what else could fill that void. Its a truly awesome car lol. Where to go from a Z4M lol :/

In which case no harm advertising it for what you want +5%. If you get your number, great, if not dont sell and enjoy it

Have you got a replacement in mind? Because I wouldnt be selling without having factored all that out..

as I've got older ( still in twenties mind) I've learned very much to ignore the fancy a change itch, its cost me some REALLY good cars, I've paid more money for the replacement and been less happy.... the laws of diminishing returns i call it!

I think i might give it a whirl and see what happens, they seem to be going for pretty steady money at the minute so fingers crossed.
in terms of a replacement i've not had a definate but its a toss up between 3 i think. Porka turbo...a westfield kit car with a bike engine in it for something a bit different and to be mainly used for track fun, or something totally left wing and go for an 5+litre AC cobra by DAX or something. bearing in mind im only 25, but i just think they look and sound awesome! wont have the refinements and handling of the Z4 but will be good fun to cruise around in and have that awesome V8 note....

I know how you feel about that too, ive sold a couple of cars in the past i wish i still had as they were great cars. But aside from the above mentioned cars i would think about replacing it with, i dont think there would be much else for around that money that would put as much of a smile on my face when i drive it. Bit of a catch 22 at the moment :(

if you've got the spare cash, throw some money and make the jump but if you don't have that much to add i think your going to struggle,..... the z4m offers so much, short wheel base, 330+ bhp, RWD, exotic looks, incredible drivetrain, i think they will one day be collectable with the way things are going.... really believe that! mines a keeper and a toy, ill just keep tweaking it to keep my interest, but it will always be with me unless i go bankrupt and need to sell it to live! lol!!!

I completely agree with the future classic there to be honest. There isn't many things on the road that tick as many boxes as they do for the same money. I have the spare cash to make the leap however and was just fancying something a bit different if the price is right and I get the amount I know the car is worth. At least if it does become a future classic I can turn around and say "I had one of those" haha 8)

Fair enough Rye. When I was early twenties I was exactly the same. Gl on your search ..

I'd get a gt3 if I was you.

My friend just sold his Orange GT3RS for a great price 2 months ago and made a fair bit of money on it tbh as the appreciation on them recently just went nuts!
I did look at GT3's and GT2's but then its the whole NA route or Turbo battle lol. I love the power and feel from an NA engine hence the Z4 but i would like to see what the turbo torque feel was like in a cheeky porka turbo with a map on it for an easy 500bhp. Can see it being a lot of fun. But then the Cobra route is just a big thirst yank V8 with that amazing soundtrack it offers. Ahh so many decisions lol :violent1:

The best way I've learned to replace a car.. Is not to. Buy another, if it could replace your other car then sell the other car. If you find you preferred the old car, sell the new one.
