Tester - RPI Scoop Red & Black

I am heading to California for Christmas and New Year which happens to be the home of RPI. I am 99% sure I am going to pick up a RPI scoop for myself but I was considering getting a few if people on the forum were interested?

The first issue is - does anyone know roughly the size of these units? I need to get a gauge of how many I might be able to fit in my suitcase coming back if quite a few people are interested. There would obviously be a size limit and on top of that a "customs" limit. I am sure questions would be asked if I had a bag full of 20 RPI scoops at customs...!

The second issue - what would people pay? They are priced at $129 but shipping to the UK is $133, more than the scoop itself! To get the scoop shipped to a US address is $17, so I am talking $146 per scoop. Would people be prepared to pay £100 for a scoop? Its a small margin for me 9.6% for my efforts and a great saving to anybody in the UK wanting one but grimacing at the shipping costs!

Let me know what the consensus is :)

Ok they are £117

I was thinking WTF there! Cheaper than RPI sell them directly, didn't seem right... OK so £100 is definitely a bargain :)

I am surprised nobody is interested in this. Am I missing something? I thought everyone raved about the RPI scoop? I am starting to doubt whether I should even get one myself... any input guys?

I would have one but they are massivly over priced for a bit of metal with bent sides

£50 would be pushing it

Most people agree that RPI scoop is waste money . Marketing at it's finest.
