Test drove an //M at the weekend. Made the most of the nice weather.

Im the guy who was wondering whether to get a 3.0/M/ or exige s a while back. Anyhoo, really liked the car, fully loaded, very few miles, one year old.

Managed to get them down a grand on the vehicle, but they were offering me 1k less than glasses guide top book price for mine (gti/fully loaded/less than average miles).

Hes "waiting for his dealer to get back to him" as he puts it, to get me a better p/x price. I was hoping id be able to get a littel more off the price off the car to be honest. Its been three days now anyway and no phone call - is he waiting until into october so the car is worth less to them? Is he just waiting until i phone him back or what?

Dunno if there is an Edmunds.com kind of thing in Britain, but can you find out factory to dealer incentives? Perhaps that's what they're waiting on? Of course, it could be a big ole game of chicken--first person to break down and call looses.... 8)

already phoned back on sunday - said hed be getting back to me within a couple of days - well todays the second day....

I'd expect at least a courtesy call to see how hes getting on...

Thought theyd be interested in selling a car - but they dont seem to be in a rush ffs.
