Test Driving a 3.5iS

Overrated those folding hard tops you know! stick with the cheap fabric option :)

Hope the rest of it goes well for you though

Aborted. It's going nowhere. The technician is scratching his head, they've never seen a roof do this before. It looks like one of the microswitches has failed, one side says the roof is closed, the other says its moving (according to his computer that he's poring over)

Don't worry, I'm finding it hilarious. I told him 10k plus mine and he didn't flinch so we'll see

The car's lovely though, I'm coming back when they've fixed it. It's a good negotiating point.

oh dear

have to ask why you even bothered putting the roof down in this weather...... serves you right for not test driving it first

Ummm, to check that it works ?

Oh, and because if it's not raining then it should be down :poke:

lol i personally do the test drive first and kick the tyres and check electrics later..... sounds like he should of gone with doing that first as it all went pete tong from there and now has to wait until it gets sorted and he can re-arrange a test drive

If it is a Microswitch, east fix, it happens :) Having both a pram top and the tin top, I know which one I would rather have. Although worrying how 3.5 E89 values are freefalling so good time to buy.

Tim.

I didn't drop the roof. It was out for a test before us and the people who had it wanted to play with the roof. I didn't even get to sit in it as the tech's had the diagnostic kit all over the interior. I wonder if it put the other lot off :)

Incidentally, daughter #1 prefers the one we have
