TERRACLEAN

This was a heavily debated topic within the S5 forums as the V8 was known to coke up.

I had the S5 cleaned by a competitor to Terraclean, http://www.enginecarbonclean.com/, which basically just pumps hydrogen into the air intake while running that burns off the carbon. Results were definitely noticeable and I think I even documented them on here. Shall try find them.

This is slightly different to terraclean. That will clean the intake side of the valves, Terraclean runs in through the fuel system.

I saw these online and got a quote for £140 to do my Zed

i haven't committed to doing this, but i only use BP ultimate which should be just as effective

I think some people are misunderstanding what this does. It cleans the system not introduce a superturbonos boost to the performance. From the videos I've watched of before and after it cleans up the emissions from the exhaust mainly. Which can't be a bad thing.

Personally try it out, there will always be people who claim it to be snake oil but don't have any evidence so if you can afford it, why not!

I've got some anti-tiger powder that I sprinkled across the garden, it can't be snake oil as we've not seen any tigers in the garden

I don't have any tigers round my garden either, but I put that down to my aftershave 'pussy be gone'!

From my personal experience, these treatments have the most effect on stinky diesels. I used to use millers, bg44 and now archoil (made from the finest snakes).
