Tell condition from servicing?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of purchasing a March 06 Z4 3.0si Sport roadster. It's done 30k miles, and the owner says it's due another service in 4000 miles. The last was Inspection 1, and he says the next is Inspection 2. Does this suggest the car's been driven quite hard, as I though the servincing was every 15k and was oil, insp 1, oil, insp 2 etc.

If what you say is correct about the last service being an inspection 1, then the next is indeed an oil change service, this includes a cabin filter as well. BMW prices vary but you are looking at around £190 inc VAT.

If you want to save a bit of cash, you can supply your own oil, i did and saved £50 off the invoice!! BMW charge £13.99 a litre of oil and there is 6.5 litres if you have a 6 pot engine.I did supply the exact BMW oil.

Welcome :thumbsup: Firstly do not worry if the car has had spirited driving thats what they are for my friend is a Tech for BMW and has told me they are designed to be driven as i was also told by somebody else who works there.

Re the mileage for inspections i bought my car in Jan of this year a 3.0 se Auto June 04 showing 11.5k and now showing 16733 miles and its telling me my Inspection 1 is due 3800 miles away
