"Telematics Access Request"

Hi All
I've entered my VIN on here to check out my factory spec

One option that comes up on the list is "telematics access request, country spec", what is this?

I think it's to do with BMW assist. Not 100% though

It's just part of the idrive / BMW assist that is part of a process to register the car on the mobile network/assist service. Nothing of any significance.
