Teething !

Ive noted a couple of things...

1. the pushbutton start. I get in with the car and press the button car wont start. Put key in receptor push button and engine starts. push button engine stops and then release key. Push button and engine starts without key in the receptor....

2. My phone wont release the phonebook to the car bluetooth - blue tooth sees the phone and can make and recieve calls but it dont let me scroll the phonebook....

Sill learning the car - got the usb thing to work and enjoy that.

where is the satnav disc in the car or is it on a HDD someplace ?

1. Its meant to do that (there's a thread on here somewhere about it). http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=51326&p=745637&hilit=Push+start#p745637

2. You may need to run the update that was released recently

3. No disc, its all stored in the car's computer.

So the key operation has been worked out...

Key in slot start engine stop engine key out slot and then start engine again. Placed key on drivers seat. stopped engine counted to five and then restarted engine. all okay.

Tried again and counted to 10 no restart possible until key was put in slot.

Possible that this is a frigg - say your other key fob battery dies ? How to recharge it ?

Start engine with good fob in slot stop engine remove good key and put in dud key and restart. Engine starts and key recharges. Job done.
