After trying to convince myself for a few years I didn't need to scratch the itch... I finally gave in.. :D

With Chris selling his Valencia orange 35is on here, and technically (but only just) in the next county, I decided to move up from my old 23i...

Looking forward to nicer weather and getting out and about it in. Next southwest meet I'll be able to keep up with all of you in your fancy machines too..

The BEST colour imho congratulations on the purchase.

Just need to get the roof wrapped in gloss black to finish off the perfect look

I was keen on the black roof too at one point on my old car, but I love the orange... so will have to stay that way!

Cheers!

I've sat in other ones but they felt generally the same as mine, whereas this one is just so different and was the only one I would buy!

It’s all down to personal preference at the end of the day  it’s the only colour of 89 where a black roof will work imo.

You’ve bagged yourself a beautiful car there enjoy :driving:

And anyway, you can't see the roof from the best position (in the driver's seat :) )

The only way it could have been better is if it had been Melbourne Red!

I'm glad we all like different things... the world would be a very boring place if everyone had the same taste

Hope you're still enjoying the switch you got from me recently! :D I now have a smart top in mine :)

Ah! The penny has just dropped. Yes switch is wearing well. A smart top is a nice extra. I have thought about one for my car. It is a bit of a pain having to keep the button pressed down when you are opening and closing the roof. Plus I’ll probably wear the the motif off the switch in time. Enjoy the new car.

Aesthetically (that’s a big word for me) I agree but practically my black interior is a better match for me. With two dogs I’d get really stressed trying to keep white leather in pristine condition and undamaged.

Very nice Rob 8) did you px your 23i or are you selling it?
Ps, i knew you’d end up with a smart top :P

Lovely colour car, and would have been on my list as well as the yellow ones if I'd have had more money so I ended up with a silver 35i. I'm also a lover of the black roof :D
